March 10, 2019

Routes Forum is a unique forum where all airlines and Airports across the world meet under one roof for networking through scheduled one-to-one meetings. The Routes events have been at the forefront of international air route development for over 24 years, firmly establishing Routes as the world’s market leader, attracting over 300 airlines for forums. This gives the opportunity to meet more than 200 airlines, 30 Tourism Authorities, 200 airports’ senior decision makers, network with key targets and gain insight from industry experts.

Routes Asia Forum is the only route development event dedicated to the region. During these meetings, airport representatives can present business proposals to attract potential airlines to their respective Airport(s), whereas airlines look for profitable new destinations to be added to their Routes Network.
Airlines normally take a few years of deep study and negotiations, gradually upgrading the prospects of operating to an Airport, before finally deciding favorably to commence operations to such an airport.

Air transport is one of the most powerful means of regional economic development. The economic impact of air services is vast and the industry supports 3.5 percent of the world’s GDP, generating 9.9 million direct jobs within air transport. Route development is essential for airports and destinations because the economic impact of new air services is immense. B2B marketing to airlines is the most efficient form of air service development. Routes events provide efficient platforms for airlines, airports and tourism authorities to negotiate the viability of new and performance of existing air services.

Routes Asia brings together leading airlines, airports and tourism authorities to explore air routes within the entire Asia Pacific region. Over the last three days, Brisbane Airport Corporation, Brisbane Marketing, Tourism Australia and Tourism and Events Queensland have been hosting Routes Asia 2018.
