A SAPLING OF THE ANURADHAPURA SRI MAHA BODHIYA WAS GIFTED

A Sapling of the Anuradhapura Sri Maha Bodhiya was gifted to the Mahabodhi Sangamaya by H.E. The President on 14th February 2011 at the Temple Trees which was flown to Buddhagaya on 16th February 2011 under the patronage of most Ven. Walamitiyawe Kusaladhamma Nayaka Thero.
The Airport Management staff along with the Buddhist Association organized a charm ceremony to welcome the Sapling with great honour at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
Approximately 43 Chief priests along with hundreds of Buddhist devotees the Sapling was taken aboard by Mihin Lanka
