Azur Air Resumes Seasonal Flight Operations to Sri Lanka During Winter 2024/2025

Launching Azur Air direct seasonal flights to Sri Lanka, the first flight arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) today, 6th November, morning at 10.05 hrs with 332 passengers. The flight was welcomed by a celebratory water cannon salute upon arrival at BIA organized by Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Pvt) Limited. The passengers were warmly welcomed with a traditional Kandyan dance performance organized by Sri Lanka Tourism.
This season, Azur Air will be operating B767-300 with a seating capacity of (full flights inbound) Y336 and will be operating 05 flights per week from 5 cities in Russia. (VKO-Vnukovo : OVB-Tolmachevo : KJA-Krasnoyarsk : LED-St. Petersburg & AER-Sochi ).
We are expecting around 40,000 Russian tourists in Sri Lanka.
