Special Celebration of AASL Seva Vanita Unit on the Occasion of International Women's Day

On the occasion of International Women's Day, a special celebration programme was held at the Vivanta Colombo, Airport Garden Hotel, on March 15, 2024. The glamorous event was organised by the AASL Seva Vanitha Unit to empower members. Mrs. Awanthi Senarathne, Vice Chairperson, Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Private Limited (AASL),graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The festivities commenced with the welcome speech by AASL Seva Vanitha Unit president Mrs. Yamuna Chandani.

The programme was aimed at inspiring the AASL women and building their confidence in themselves while giving them the opportunity to network with each other.

The programme was enlightened by the great experience-sharing session of Mrs. Dinali Ruwanpathirana, which has given true motivation to the participants to think differently and to be strong as women. The session was a delightful blend of motivational words, activities, and insightful anecdotes.

The programme was created as a platform for AASL SevaVanitha Unit members to share their insights by participating in a survey to plan the future activities of Seva Vanitha Unit, creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone. This initiative was taken to establish the idea of working together to foster an environment where every member can thrive. 

A beautiful singing performance and energetic Zumba dance performances done by a few members added vibrance to the event.
