Airport Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited (AASL) Donates Rs 4.3 Million to Maharagama Apeksha Cancer Hospital

Thanks to the millions of generous passengers who travelled through Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited was able to donate Rs.4,338,230.00 to the Maharagama Apeksha Cancer Hospital on 25th October 2022 as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The donation was collected from the charity collection boxes placed in the transit area of the Bandaranaike International Airport.

AASL has had this charity support program for over the years and the donations from BIA passengers have truly made a difference in the lives of Sri Lankans.

During the period of 2019–2022, Rs 4,338,230.00 was collected and the cheque was handed over to Dr. Aruna Jayasekara-Director, Apeksha Hospital-Maharagama by Major General (Rtd.) G. A. Chandrasiri, Chairman and Dr. Ajith Mendis,Vice Chairman of Airport Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited (AASL) to purchase cancer medicines.
