Tower Crane operations at Bandaranaike International Airport (VCBI)

1          Introduction

1.1.     The purpose of this AIP Supplement is to inform all aircraft operators about the ongoing Tower crane operations due to construction work of new Terminal Building (T2) and associated new Pier Buildings at Bandaranaike International Airport.

2.         Tower Crane operations at construction site 

2.1.     Five tower cranes, maximum elevation 53M and maximum height 44M, operate within an area encompassing 154M radius centred at 071021.73N 0795305.65E. Tower cranes are marked and lighted at night.(Refer Appendix A)

3.         Cancellation 

3.1.     NOTAM A0275/22 dated 23.03.2022 is hereby superseded and this supplement remains current until  cancellation notified by a NOTAM.
